Get Ready to Rev Your Engine

What You’ll Need

If you love motors and engines and may even be referred to as a ‘Motorhead’ from time to time, this itinerary is made for you!

Grove Creek Raceway is located a short seven miles west of Litchfield, near Grove City, MN. It’s a NHRA Division 5 Member Track and the only 1/8 mile track in the Upper-Midwest to offer both “true” night and day drag racing action. The racetrack is open April – October and the races are typically day-long events so we definitely encourage you to stay for the weekend!

You won’t want to miss enjoying lunch or dinner (depending on the race schedule) at Honky’s, located in Grove City. The atmosphere is friendly, local and laid-back. Honky’s offers daily specials and often some type of entertainment. It’s one of those hole-in-the-wall places you’ll want to come back to again.

If you brought along your dirt bike or ATV, hit the trails at the Meeker County OHV Park, located southeast of Litchfield. The park offers 40 acres of land with winding trails as well as a shelter and restroom facilities.

If you’ve planned your time in Litchfield for the first weekend of August, get excited because you’ll be able to experience the Meeker County Fair! There is no shortage of events during the fair including the tractor pull and demo derby – also known as the ultimate motorhead events, wouldn’t you agree?
